About Inside Out Run Club
Inside Out Run Club was founded in July 2024 by Dr. Nicole Sample Harris and Lauren French in response to a visible gap on Long Island. There was a lack of running spaces intentionally created for Black and Latino communities and ongoing wellness disparities that continue to affect our neighborhoods.
What began as a simple idea to gather, run, and build community quickly grew into something bigger.
Inside Out Run Club was created to provide access, representation, accountability, and belonging in the wellness space. Because everyone deserves a place to move, grow, and be seen.
In January 2025, Táimese Revell joined the movement, bringing leadership in operations, marketing, and community engagement. As the community expanded, so did the vision.
In August 2025, Dr. Nicole Sample Harris, Lauren French, and Táimese Revell officially founded Inside Out Impact Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This step allowed the movement to grow beyond weekly runs into structured community programming, fundraising initiatives, and long term impact across Long Island.
What started as a run club is now a mission driven organization committed to building wellness, discipline, and confidence from the inside out.
